Class 1

Welcome to Class 1!

Miss Hatch and Miss S. welcome all pupils, parents and carers to our class page.

As Miss Hatch is currently on maternity leave, Mrs Martin is your class teacher.

Our Early Years curriculum is rooted in our Church of England vision, placing the child at the centre and nurturing each one as a unique individual made in the image of God. In our mixed Nursery and Reception class, we provide a warm, inclusive and inspiring environment where children feel safe, valued and encouraged to flourish socially, emotionally, spiritually and academically.

Guided by the EYFS framework, our curriculum is learning-based, carefully sequenced and responsive to children’s interests, developmental stages and individual needs. We promote curiosity, creativity and a love of learning through rich, first-hand experiences, high-quality interactions and meaningful opportunities for exploration both indoors and outdoors. Our provision supports children to develop independence, resilience and positive relationships, laying strong foundations for lifelong learning.

Through daily routines, collective worship, stories and reflection, children are encouraged to develop a sense of awe and wonder, kindness and respect for others and the world around them. We work in close partnership with families to ensure continuity, belonging and high expectations for every child, enabling all to make strong progress and to be well prepared for the next stage of their education.

Our P.E. lessons are with Bee Active, please can children come to school wearing correct P.E. kit (black or blue shorts/joggers, a plain white t-shirt, trainers/pumps and a black or black hoodie). Earrings should be taken out on P.E. days or at least covered. No other jewellery is allowed.
