This term we will be looking at Mini Beasts after Easter and up to May half term and then Rainforests and Jungles after the half term to the end of the term.

We are hoping to visit the local common to explore the habitats of Mini Beasts and we will be watching the life cycle of the butterfly in class as we are getting our own caterpillars! We hope to visit a local zoo to learn more about animals that live in the Rainforests and Jungles.

Books that we will be exploring are: The Very Hungry Caterpillar, The Very Busy Spider, Mad About Mini Beasts, Walking Through The Jungle, Rainforest (Eye Wonder) and We're Roaming in the Rainforest. These will also be complemented by other books during story time.

In Maths we will be continuing to explore number and deepen our understanding as well as looking at shape and measures.

Phonics for Reception will consolidate learning Phase 3 learning and then move onto Phase 4. Preschool will deepen their understanding of the different strands covered in Phase One.

We will continue to share pictures of the children's work and experiences on Tapestry.
