Welcome to Class 1!

Miss Hatch and Miss S. welcome all pupils, parents and carers to our class page.

Learning in our Reception and Preschool class is a balance of child-initiated play and adult led sessions. We do this through a topic/s which are changed regularly and builds on the children's interests and developmental stage. 

We have both an indoor and outdoor area and make visits to the common. We have waterproof clothing available so that your child can be outdoors in sunshine, rain and snow. Although we do ask if you can provide wellies that can remain in school all year.

We want our children to be independent and not rely on adults for every small issue, so we support and encourage them to find ways to resolve conflict, solve problems and make connections in their learning.

Our P.E. day is Monday and Thursday, please can children come to school wearing correct P.E. kit (black or blue shorts/joggers, a plain white t-shirt, trainers/pumps and a black or black hoodie). Earrings should be taken out on P.E. days or at least covered. No other jewellery is allowed.
