Firstly, I would like to thank our NHS parents and those parents and staff providing vital services. The school is open and working on a rota system, over the next few weeks using a very small number of staff. Please check the school website regularly as this will be our main point for information sharing.
The school remains open over the Easter Period but will be closed Good Friday and Bank Holiday Monday. Please continue to follow government advice for key workers to use the school as a last resort, especially in light of the sad news of the death of a 17 year old child.
Free School Meals
The government has announced their Free School Meal Scheme for FSM Families. Please note FSM is different from Universal Infant Free School Meals. You need to be registered with the government and defined as FSM to access this scheme. If your circumstances have changed then you can apply for FSM on the Stoke Council website but only if you meet the Entitlement Criteria (Universal Free School Meals for R,1,2 is not the same).
The school has not yet received the information for the FSM voucher system. The school will try to make contact to those families that are registered over the next few days so the paperwork formalities can be started in preparation for the scheme.
As soon as the voucher system is in place the school will stop providing lunches.
FSM Fraud Warning
With the government announcing the FSM voucher scheme it is expected that fraudsters will try to trick people into giving bank details etc.
Please don’t give any information out the school will contact you once the system is available to the school.
The class pages of the website will be updated over the next week, since the packs covered 2 weeks worth of work and these were supplemented by activities on the website. Staff are either going to post several weeks’ worth of work or will update it every week.
Keep Safe and Healthy
